A young leader's new position has her nervous and overwhelmed. She visits an old lady on the edge of town who tells her a story that gives her a new perspective on what she might have to offer in leading others.
This brought me back to some childhood memories. I grew up in upstate NY. Several times during my time in elementary school, we went on field trips in the fall to "older villages" where they were dressed in "old attire." Part of the trip was that everyone would have to bring carrots, or onions, or potatoes...and we would make stone soup with the "community members".
What a great leadership reminder!!!! Thanks for sharing!
Well written David. I recall my Grandmother talking about "stone soup" many years ago.
Nice she did that!
Excellent. Thank you, Dave. That closing exhortation from Ziva is ringing in my ears.
Good to know! Glad it helped
So good!!!
