If we expand out, the Drake beef resulted in an East Coast, West Coast, Detroit, and the South collab on Snoop Dogg’s latest album (and some international). Drake’s failure brought together artists from disparate contexts in unity.
A simple google search for 'is kendrick lamar blasphemous' would have yielded enough results to avoid touting his music as a good thing. 2pac and Biggie are both 'losers' in a 'dis battle', and the glorification of that whole scene 40 years later is wild. And calling the only team to go to 3 super bowls in a row 'losers', is totally lost.
brother DJ: I don’t believe at any point in the article I outright called the Chiefs losers. But they did lose the game, in spectacular fashion. I would imagine the coaching staff is going through the exact adjustments. I talk about in the last part of the article and will be doing so the entire off-season. They may have failed this year in their quest, but they still could become the greatest team ever, and Patrick Mahomes may even be the goat someday… He has a lot of years left and nobody so Young has ever been considered a part of the pantheon already. So I don’t know where your hostility is coming from.
: I wonder if there will be a reframing eventually that the chief should’ve never made the Super Bowl in the first place, and that is an achievement. Of course, that could be part of the denial of failing that I talk about in the article. Sorry your team lost brother… Mine didn’t even make the playoffs so we’re the biggest losers around
Count me in the I-have-no -clue what was said or sung or rapped in the halftime show camp. Zero. LOL.
This is well stated so thank you. Reminded me of the Newton PDA, that almost bankrupted APPLE but led to the iPod and iPhone.
It’s never a loss if one adapts and learns.
Great example! Is there a book about such business products that failed but preceded success
I’m awful with titles, but EXECUTION, the art of getting things done comes to mind
i have that book on my shelf but haven't gotten past the introduction--that book is THICK... need to get it in the queue
Well said Dave...thanks for the exegesis of KL's show too! I was lost.
yeah, let's hope I didn't do too much eisegesis ;-)
it really did require another layer of investigation--on the surface I know most had no idea what was going on
“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
Love today's post ... thank you 😊
Yeah love that quote!

Great one! Ha!
In reaction to this article, one reader shared this song, "Jesus is for Losers" by Steve Raylor--didn't know about it. Fascinating.
